Hassall\'s corpuscles:

1) Introduction : Also known as thymic corpuscles are specialized bodies found in medulla of the thymus. Thymus is primary primary lymphoid organ responsible for production of hormones like thymosin, thymopoetin etc.

2) Origin: Hassall\'s corpuscles origin can be described by two proposed hypothesis. One is its vascular origin ( originated from blood vessels i.e capillary occlusion). Other suggeted that they originated from ductules of thymus also known as thymopharyngeal ducts

3) History: hassall\'s corpuscles were described about 150 years ago and their sturucture differ within mammalian species. These are characteristic of thymic medulla. They appear as onions arranged concentrically in their structure.
