EGC, is the process of recording the electrical activity of heart and its components show the the rate as well as regularity of heartbeats.
P wave, which precedes QRS complex, represents the atrial depolarization. It shows like a peak from the baseline, and its amplitute normally is 0.05 to 0.25mV.
QRS complex, which depicts ventricular depolarization, has duration less than 0.12 sec with an amplitude ranging between greater than 0.5mV in atleast one of the standard leads and greater than 1.0 mV in at least one precordial lead. 2.5 -3.0mV is the upper limit of normal amplitude.
T wave deflection which is in same direction as the QRS complex (normally), shows ventricular repolarization. This wave is normally rounded and asymmetrical with an amplitude of minimum 0.2 mV in leads V3 & V4 and 0.1 mV minimum in leads V5& V6.
