Consider question #4 for evolutionists and think about whether the information contained in this chapter helps to answer this question. If so, how? Why is natural selection, a principle recognized by creationists, taught as \"evolution\', as if it explains the origin of the diversity of life? By definition it is a selective process (selecting from already existing information), so is not a creative process. It might explain the survival of the fittest (why certain genes benefit creatures more in certain environments), but not the arrival of the fittest (where the genes and creatures came from in the first place. The death of individuals not adapted to an environment and the survival of those that are suited does not explain the origin of the traits that make an organism adapted to an environment.

Solution

Natural selection is the principle recognized by various evolutionists primarily Darwin theory of descent and gradualism meticulously explains this natural selection phenomenon followed by evolution of species via speciation & extinction of species. These aspects of natural selection are mainly due to genetic variation and genetic drift that made the origin of diversity of life so that it refers it as a selective process but not a creative process. Natural selection is completely different to explain the kind of adaptations acquired by the species during evolution. Theological aspects are independent of structural adaptations developed by the individual species as these adaptations are completely relies upon genetic variations Evolution in terms of natural selection and natural theology is not a common topic of conversation because it is an offensive subject a better conversation due to insufficient evidence about the origin of species and creation. Origin of species either by a creator or by nature is still in a great religious debate as various scientific hypotheses are describing that evolution started from aquatic region to land stage according to natural selections and genetic variations but various philosophical, religious and mythological beliefs are describing that evolution is from a unknown creator and nature. There is no availability of adequate evidence to resolve this great debate so people might just not or talk about creation or evolution at all. Evolution has always replaced extinct species with new ones. The evolution of new species & extinction of species on the biosphere is mainly depends on the \"environmental factors\", predation-prey factors, mutations & these are going to be induced in the individual cellular genome either by migration or genetic drift. Sometimes, these genetic variations are leading to incidence of speciation so that evolution of new species occur sometimes, may leading to extinction due to low fitness (higher incidence of deleterious recessive alleles due to interbreeding). Sometimes, inbreeding depression is result in loss of heterozygosity in a population so species result in extinction of species. This inbreeding is natural so that extinction is natural. Individuals often develop favorable new traits are to escape from predators via natural selection & genetic variations in the successive generations with evolution of new traits in the new species as an evolutionary adaptation to attain adequate offspring fitness and to struggle for the existence.
