The hypothesis of testing are :-

From the above output, we can see that p-value = 0.000

Since p-value is less than alpha, we reject H0 and conclude that as education increases the number of children one has decreases.

From the above output, it can be seen that the correlation coefficient is -0.228. This means that there is a negative correlation between education and the number of children, i.e. as education increases the number of children one has decreases. Also the magnitude of correlation is small, hence the correlation is weak.
