1.in indirect extrusion the material is directly deforming and flowing through the die hence container wall friction and force required is less.

2. In back ward extrusion the extruded component going into the connecting rod so handling isdifficult.

3. In this die is producing with in the ram so axes must be co axial hence disign and manufacturing is difficult.

4.in this there is a possibility to move both ram and die.

5.it is used to extrude semi brittle and brittle material because of complete absence of container wall friction , there is no cracking tendency.
