I am writing a research proposal over the stereotypes of vid

I am writing a research proposal over the stereotypes of video games and with my project I have to create data as a hypothetical. I will have the participants watch different levels of gameplay and then determine what the gender of the player is. I would think I would use a t-test; however, I am unsure. Would a different test be better or more accurate to my faux results?

Here both variables: levels of game play and gender both are categorical variables. And I think you want do know that is there any difference between the distribution of male and female?? So chi-square test should be used.
