No, I don’t agree that statement. Nicholas gives his opinion on a responsibility and intelligence. Because Now-a-day’s IT is the main technological developments that have taken place and influence on the way of work in society compare to last 20years. IT has more possibilities to grow for a business sector. It also helps to keep business people to support for the economic platform.
Nicholas states that “IT no longer gives businesses a competitive edge and its strategic value has decreased”. Business competitive advantage depends on the conditions that allow a company to produce a product at a lower price in desirable fashion for the users.
So, business competitive advantage can be anywhere not only in IT sector. IT is a big advantage for any corporation and it is the end of effort and the skills of creative and smart minds in the work force. IT is not only necessary it is the base for all the companies for fast and efficient access.
Hence IT is a perfect commodity and perfectly reproducible at virtually no cost.
