then the displacement of collar B would be (y-2y)/2 = -y/2

hence if collar B moves downwards with speed V

then collar A would move up with speed 2v

b) Vc = 2V_A = 1200 mm/s downwards

c) V_D = 1200 mm/s upwards

d) V_CA = 1200 - (-600) = 1800 m/s downwards
