The follower\'s professional orientation on the leadership process can affect the role and importance of leader because there can be leadershipp without giving importance which encounter the effect of something else.By providing leadership substitutes which means a person who is acting in place of leader.,inthat case there is no use of leadership.When there is substitutes involved the role of leader get reduced. Neutralize, or substitute for leader behaviors are the factors that may serve as leadership substitues.Reference
