Case 3.2 (pg. 134 of the text) concerning The Bad Boy Executive is provocative. You learn that Derek Ferguson is the Chief Financial Officer of a company which produces rap and hip-hop musical acts. Bad Boy itself is embedded in an industry (musical entertainment) which is generally recognized as quite secular if not anti-religious. Yet you are told that Ferguson is a “committed Christian” and even leads a weekly Bible study for Bad Boy employees. In your view, does Ferguson bring a Christian perspective and practice to the business or is he just rationalizing a presumably well-compensated corporate position which he holds in spite of his Christian faith?
Solution
Second point is more valid
Following your releigion is not a sin and even in music industry we do sometimes tend to explore new things. It is true that ferguson tilt towards the weekly bible study shows that he is influenced and dedicated to christianity but on the other hand he is too proffesional so that he can grow in the industry
