To get the clear image of the object and make them more intensified, clear and contrast this type of combinations are used. Three main functions are satisfied by these type of combinations. To converge the light rays at point , resolution and magnification of the image.
The concave mirror is used to obtain the most intensified image of the object. When the light rays enter, they are parallel rays. But, once they strike the concave lens they are converged into single point, intensity of light increases, malking the image more intensified. The concave mirror is flat to diagonal mirror, which reflects the light through the one side of the telescope tube and then light strikes the ocualr lens. These are the advantages of combining mirror and ruler telescope module.
