You have decided to Get In Shape. There are two gyms in your neighborhood. Silver\'s has a $20 administration fee due when you sign up and then costs $40 a month. 18 Hour Workout has a $73 fee to enroll and then costs $35 a month. You will make a table, graph and then discuss which gym is a better deal in different circumstances.

There are two types of cost involved, first is fixed cost which is the administration fee or enrolment fee, the second cost is a variable cost which is monthly fee that depends on the number of month you take gym.

Therefore total cost for silver gym = (20 + 40×n)$

Where n is the number of month for which you join gym.

For 18 hour workout gym total cost = (73 + 35×n)

For n upto 10 months,

total cost of silver gym = 20 + 40×10 = $420

total cost of 18 workout gym = 73 + 35×10 = $423

for n=11months,

total cost of silver gym = 20 + 40×11 = 460$

total cost of 18 hour workout gym = 73 + 35×11 = $458

hence from above it is clear that for n upto 10 months silver gym is better as it costs less but for n greater than 10 months 18 hour work out gym is better because than it will cost less.
