Is being able to work remotely important? Why and Why not?

It depends on the work you are doing.

If it is really sensitve to the organizatio the work you do then yes it is important because problems and emergencies happen all the time and you should be ready to resolve them. With the advance on technlogy it is easy to reply an email from your smarthphone or you can find wirless connections every where so you can connect to the internet with your laptop and work.

If what you do on your work doesnt really add any value meaning that is important but if you dont do it some one else will or that the company will not suffer then it is not really important for you to being able to work remotely
