Since the environemntal problems were conflicting to the human society since from the developemnt of human society on this planet earth due to it\'s various implimentation from the beginning of its. to conserve the environment, various steps toward this had been taken as a movement for the batterment of environment. so here are some list of timeline event of these as follow-

1960s-

On thank giving day in november of the years 1966 people are killed as a result of air pollution.

On january 1969 oil spill incident occured in the coast of california. after this people become more concious and focused to protect environment.

National environmental policy was passed in 1969 by U.S. laws.

1970s-

The clean air act was passed.

22nd april 1970 was delivered and celebrated as the first earth day.

The clean water act was passed in 1972.

1980s-

CERCLA or comprehensive environmental response , compensation and liability act was passed in 1980

The nuclear waste policy act was passed in 1982.

The emergency planning and community right to know act was passed in 1986.

1990s-

The oil pollution act was passed in 1990.

The pollution prevention act was also passed in 1990.
