Time is the biggest assumption that I have found to be taken for granted for not only in my current organization but also within groups that I participate in as well. An assumption reflects our personal beliefs (Organizational Culture, 2014). Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck\'s Values Orientation Theory gave us four example questions and their values. My organization likes to think of time in the past, meaning that they compare everything with previous experiences and they believe this has helped them learn from their mistakes. The example of time given in the theory is that they want to maintain and preserve their beliefs (Hill, 2002). Their main focus isn\'t about what the future holds for them, but rather what the past has taught them. I believe that they are taking the present time for granted. With the industry world evolving, organization need to not only think about what it currently happening but also would could help them succeed in the future.

Solution

Time is considered as the assumption which is taken on grant by almost every individual at different phases in his or her life. Assumptions are mainly something which is believed by an individual. four example questions and their values are provided by Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck\'s Values Orientation Theory. The organization where the individual was working treated the time as an element of past that is the comparison of each activity is done on the basis of previous incidents or experiences and they thought that they can learn in a great deal from their mistakes. Maintenance and preservation of beliefs can be seen as an example of the time stated in the theory. The main focus remains on the past rather than being ready for the future. It mainly indicates that they do not value the present time. In the present industry environment, the organizations are required not only to give importance to their existing situation but also have to take care of the future.

Thus from above, it is quite clear that time is something which never returns and how well we can utilize our current time will decide our future.
