Based on your experience, are you able to see the necessity of career management as a lifelong, continuous process – rather than an activity that is relevant only when one is in ‘active job search mode’? Why or why not?

Solution

One can perform more number of jobs in one life. The jobs must be relevant to each other, interlinked to each other and then only the employment life will be in progressive and grown way. For example; if you started your career as a sales person in a firm, later you joined in other firm as operational manager, and later you joined as a typist or data entry operator, and later you joined as a driver; there is no relation from one job to another. Hence it should not be called as a career. The journey must be in relevant and progressive way ony. Again a simple example for this, assume that you started your career as a sales representative, next you joined in other firm as a sales manager to a team, next you joined in other firm as a manager of sales for a region, next overall head to sales department. If you observe the first job to second, these are relevant to each other, and you lifted to one more step in life. The lift is in terms of designation wise, and payment wise too.

If you want to reach the upfloor in a building, your stemps must move one after one on the same path, suppose if you step in one foot, and continuously if you go through, you can reach the top. If not, you never reach the top in you life.
