Test: Test 3 - Geometry This Question: 5 pts 11 of 20 (0 complete) ? Determine the sum of the measures of the interior angles of a decagon The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a decagon is? Enter your answer in the answer box
Solution
Please post 1 question per post.
A decagon has 10 sides.
Within a single triangle, x is what we have at the center
So, 10x = 360 , x= 36 ( angle made at center is 360)
So, the other 2 angles being equal , let them be y, 2y+x = 180
2y + 36 = 180
x= 72
Double that will given measure of a single exterior angle = 72*2 = 144
Thus 10 times that is 1440. So sum of interior angles is 1440
