Nessus:Nessus is the vunerability scanner.Which is devloped by tenable network security.It is free of charg fo the personal use.

The following type of vunerabilities are allowed to scan by nessus:

1)Misconfiguration(such as open mail relay)

2)Denial of services against TCP

3)Dictionary attacks

4)Default password,absent passwords orfew common passwords

5)PCI DSS audits

Nessus has two main component one is nessus daemon ,whih is esponsible for scan and other is nessus client which ctrols the scan and provide the result to client. But nes does not provide the complete security solution but its a small part complete security solution.
