LOBE FINNED FISHES.

In Devonian period of evolution, there was huge increase in variety of fishes. which included lobe-finned fishes. These lobe-finned fishes only gave rise to the tetrapods. These evolved into the four-limbed vertebrates which were not fishes and developed into present animals i.e. amphibians. Other animals are birds, mammals and reptiles.
