Refer to an outside source and list the mode of action AND side effects for each of the four antimicrobial drugs Ampicillin, ciprofloxacin, gentamicin, and sulfonamides.

Solution

Ampicillin:- used to treat bacterial infections it belongs to the class of penicillin antibiotics. Side effects includes vomiting, allergy, blisters, flue like symptoms. It is semisynthetic modified from penicillin.

Ciproflaxacin:- it causes damage to the tendons and also neuronal damage. It is a fluoroquinolone class of antibiotic. It used against both gran possitive and negative bacteria.

Gentamicin:- it causes permanent loss of hearing, kidney failure, nerve damage.. it is bacteria static and belongs to amiboglycosides class of antibiotic.

Sulfanamides:- it is a sulphor containing antibiotic which stops the folic acid sysntesis and it\'s convertion. There by stops the bacterial growth. Diarrhoea, lethargy, anorexia, nausia etc
