A. You will be completing the Corporate Culture Preference Scale found on pages 71-73. Indicate your scores for each of the four cultures below and then answer the questions that follow.
Control Culture:
Performance Culture:
Relationship Culture:
Responsive Culture:
Once you read the dimensions and definitions on pages 76 and 77, did your results surprise you in any way or just reinforce what you already knew about yourself? How important do you think culture is to businesses in general and you personally? Explain substantively.
B. Also, describe some risky decisions you have made (don\'t get too personal). Were the consequences, good, bad or both? Should you, or could you, have done anything differently in light of class principles?
Expected length of your initial post is 150-200 words. Make sure to respond to at least 2 other peers (100 to 200 words each).

A> It does surprise me only on the performance culture criteria, because I personally lay emphasis on performance being the primary aspect of any given organization. Rest of the scores I would have definitely expected from myself. Control in an organization is another key example of a company but it should be defined in a manner where it does not intrudes with the performance and efficiency of the employees, which would definitely have a negative effect on the productivity.
For me culture in an organization is the cornerstone of a company’s long term mission and vision ruling, every company aspires to be the best in its performance area or industry but those goals are defined based on the overall positive culture present in the organization. The semantics of the culture categorised in four different dimensions are undoubtedly the factors that contribute to the company overall success.
B> On boarding a client which was earlier tagged as a non performing asset by the banks was a risky decision I had taken, although the decision was purely based on the new directive of the senior management to focus on patented medical device sales globally. The consequences in the earlier days of on boarding was very fragile but as the device pulled up sales figures and returned higher revenues transformed the doubtful decision into a promising one.
Note: It is expected that you do take the score test and based on that try to complete the two diffrent responses.
