Collective bargaining can be seen as a negotiation activity which is conducted by the group of employees and the employer in order to resolve any issue. The union represents the employees of an organization in front of the management during the bargaining process and it results manly in the regulation of various issues such as working conditions, employee safety, training, wages, and layoffs.

Once an agreement is reached, the resulting “collective bargaining agreement,” or “CBA,” will be converted into a contract dealing with the issues related to the employment.
