With respect to fraud against companies, which do you think is more prevalent inside or outside jobs? Explain your position. Describe what you think is the number one target of an inside job versus that of an outside job.

Solution

1. In my well read and experienced opinion, for every fraud against the company it is the hands of the inside person with the help of outsiders which is more prevalent. Number 1 target of inside job can vary from looking for financial gain to acquire a designation whereas for outsiders it is mostly the financial gain.

3. Phishing: In this attacker attracts customer to provide them with the sensitive information such as their mail id, bank account number, passwords by sending them texts, emails etc to click and register in them.

Watering hole: In this the malicios code is entered in to the legitimate programme which perpetuates in the computer and causes damage.

Whaling AttacK: It is same as Phising except in this big fishes (whales) are targeted by the attackers

Pretexting: It is a scenario in which fraudster act as someone else to make the target believe he is providing information to someone other while in reality they are not. Popular ways include making email ids similar to the authorized persons, making a call and asking them with confidence that we are from IT department and we need to reset your account so provide the user id and password, etc
