What does dy/dx mean? I know it means differentiate y with respect tox..but what does that mean..Am I supposed to differentiate all x and y terms or just y?? Break it down for me..Thank You

You are correct in that it does mean differentiate y with respect to x. Another way of explain it is the change in y with respect to the change in x. As x changes this much, how much does y change. Generally, you change the equations to y = f(x) and differentiate the x terms.
