According to Luther Gulick division of work is very important in the organization and it help organization to attain its objective in effective and efficient manner. Luther Gulick also consider division of work is foundation of operation and in the organization.

Example - A clothes making factory having 1500 men working on cloth making activities and doing these procedure - cutting, sewing, washing, stamping, dying and packing the clothes. If each man will do the activities/procedure in one day they will failed to perform efficiently. If the men will be divided to work on different activities of the production as per their specialization they will person better and more effective and efficient manner and organization can enjoy the benefit of division of work
