What do you believe is the definition of sustainability? Why is sustainability important? After reading this week\'s text and the AMA report, has this affected your ideas/definition of sustainability?

I believe that the definition of sustainability is the following: all the actions that a person or a company does to prevent the harm of the environment or the harm of natural resources and supports the ecological balance.

I believe it is important because we only have 1 planet which is very contaminated by the way, and people and organizations need to wake up. The damage we have done can still be reverted if we take the correct actions. The saddest part is that this generation wouldn’t be the victims, it would be the children of our children who would have to deal with this problem.

Many companies announced that they included the sustainability within their strategic plans but most of them only do it for marketing purposes (companies that announced their corporate responsibility with nature tend to have higher sales) it is important to actually take actions on this manner not just sell more products.
