Solution

Machine X : 1200bolts in 4 hrs

1 bolt --- 4/1200 hrs

Machine Y : 1000 bolts in 5hrs

1 bolt -- 5/1000 hrs

So,Together they would make 1 bolt in --- 4/1200 + 5/1000 hrs

So, 1000 bolts together they would produce -- 1000(4/1200 +5/1000) = 4/12 + 5 = 64/12 = 5.8 hrs
