I would recommend the Prototype engineering software life cycle model to create a mobile application that allows customers to reserve tables at local restaurants. The prototype model is designed to quickly get a working app out to the customers to start getting active feedback on quality, function, and other issues with the application.

Solution

The app seems to be a nice idea helping small restaurants to show up their skills and food to peoples who are not aware of them with the help of rating. In order to bring in customer, app needs to promote itself to bring in both customers and restaurants to use the app, one of them can be offering food at discounted rates to people booking table through app.

But most of the apps are customer centric like the person does not show up or they booked a table for 4 but only 2 came, this will certainty lead to business loss of restaurants. Also restaurant staff needs to be trained to use the app and confirm the booking at the earliest and making the table as soon as the customer arrives.

The app is innovative but need to handle many challenge so that end users are not exploited also keeping the app easy to use and smooth.
