Solution
Being a daughter of immigrants from India, I was born in this country. For me The American Dream is probably the same as for every other American, if not hte same then only stronger. For me The American Dream is to have equal opportunities as everyone else, to be treated as equal, to be judged by my abilities and not by the color of my skin or my social status. For me the dream is not to have a big house or a fancy job but to have a job that I want and ofcourse that pays my bills and where I am treated equally as my peers and don\'t have to fight battles just because of being a women of color. This is the only country I have known and for me I want to work for everything I achieve, I don\'t want any favouratism or anything, I just want to have the same opportunities that my peers have and not to be denied anything because of being a women of color. I am prepared to fight for my goals and ulimately for me the dream is to be happy and feel a sense of belonging.
How I embody The American Dream can be best judged by the people around me. But nevertheless being from a upper middle class family, I may not understand the struggles people less fornutate than me had to face. I actively take part in protests for equal rights for women and people from different ethenicity. I am a part time social worker, I teach maths to underprivileged kids with HIV once a week. I also volunteer at the homeless shelter every Sunday. I never try to take advantage of any favouratism as I am strong beliver of equal opportunites for everyone.
