when we add the more carbon contant to the iron/steel, it get more ductile nature (i.e, Increased carbon means increased hardness and tensile strength, decreased ductility,)

if we suddenly cools the steel piece it effect the structure of the steel molecult and the strength of the steel element because on the gradually cooling of steel gives the time to macke a perfect bonding otherwise it may lead to get cracks easily
