What is the relationship between physiological stress and ps
What is the relationship between physiological stress and psychological stress?
Solution
The physiological stress is mainly due to adequate response generated by the cells when it is subjected to a specific stressor (environmental cues or a stimulus) so that flight and fight response and endocrine response so that cells of the human body are going to retain its normal position. These specific stressors are going to trigger variable physiological responses within the cell sometimes leading to cell death. The relationship of physiological stress with the psychological stress is mainly involves emotional responses under specific stressor generating specific retaining difficulty or difficulty in coping with a specific cue or stimulus. The physiological stress (eustress or distress) responses are leading to psychological responses (nervous system, endocrine system) such as behavioral, emotional and cognitive alterations
Therefore, psychological coping methods are useful with one or all of these stressors by investing own conscious effort finally to resolve the \"main causes that are responsible for the personal or work problems\". These coping methods are such as \"positive reinforce methods\" & nutrition, exercise and adequate sleep enable to reduce or tolerate any stress caused by the above causes.
The relationship between physiological stress and psychological stress can be explained by model i.e. diathesis –stress model, in which it is meticulously predisposes the occurrence of psychological problems based on biological or genetic traits (diatheses) with respect to environmental cues, environmental stressors etc with respect to physiological changes of cells. Anxiety and change in cognition of an individual behavior is mainly relies upon both genetic traits & environmental predisposing stress- factors
Normally, stress is a perceived lack of control can affect human health because a variety of neurotransmitters and hormones are going to out pour inside the “nervous system” that has critical impact on the human health mainly causes stress, anxiety & depression. For example, a lack of control with inadequate perception, is going to trigger changes in the serotonin uptake result in “lower presynaptic availability” of serotonin finally trigger “unipolar or bipolar depression” due to varied mood levels. Stressors such as environmental stressors, work stress & catastrophic stress may lead to variable synthesis of glucocorticoids and internal neuronal dopamine release result in a perceived lack of control in the behavior, cognition and memory levels sometimes under extreme conditions, it is going to produce mania or schizophrenia . Therefore, problem-focused coping & emotion -focused coping is essential to resolve this lack of control
