CT is the product of disinfectant concentration and the contact time with the water being disinfected. Main disinfectant is chlorine.

In this chlorine is talked about , the density of chlorine is 3.2 g/l . It means 1 Lt chlorine has 3.2 gm.

So we can write

200 mg.min/Lt = 200 mg .min / 3.2 gm

Now 1 gm = 1000 mg

& 1 kg = 1000 gm

Therefore 1 mg = (1 ÷ 1000000) kg

1 hour = 60 min

& 1 day = 24 hrs

So 1 min = 1 ÷ (60 x 24) hrs

Therefore

200mg.m/ L= (200 x ( 1/1000,000) x ( 1/60 x 24)) ÷ (3.2/1000)

Which comes out to be 4.34 x 10^-5 kg/day.
