A new luncheon resturant wants winter sunlight on a decorative interior fountain. Find the required heaight of a vertical slot window intended to bring noon sun to the fountain from 1 october through 1 march. the window will be located in a south-facing wall. the fountain is 4 feet tall and 8 feet from the wall. Using sun chart at given timing and 1march sun alttitue is 800 which is nearer to the equator and azimuth is 300. when going to 1 october the alltitued decrease that is 650. At this time the minimum shading . when we are going march to october the altitude is decreasing ,on that basis window vertical slot height is 1.325 feet.
