This project required me to actually come up with two variables that really have this relationship.
I could only come up with one variable, could you please help with the other variable?
Solution
a) The response variable is the one plotted along y axis
i.e. Y
b) Factor is the x variable i.e. independent variable.
c) If there are other variables than x and y then those also have to be studied and regression equation to be modified in terms of more than one x i.e.
y = a+b1x1+b2x2+b3x3+...
where x1, x2, x3 are other factors controlling y.
