A web server sees a request from IP address X on Monday and a request from IP address Y on Tuesday where X and Y are on the same subnet. Explain why the web server cannot be certain the requests are from different machines.

So, the web server can\'t be certain that both requests are from the same machine though the IP addresses are the same. Also, it can\'t be certain that requests are from different machines if their IP addresses are different.
