Solution

5x +8y = -5 ---(1)

-x -1.6y = 14 ----(2)

now multiply equation 2 by -5:

5x +8y =-70

Now we can see that equation has same coefficients of x and y as in eqution 1:

So, 5x +8y =-5

5x +8y = -70

These two equations are parallel which donot have any point of intersection.
