Inductance = L = µoAN2/l
where
L = inductance in henries (H)
µo = permeability of free space = 4 × 107 H/m
N = number of turns = 8200 turns.
A = area of cross-section of the coil in square metres (m2) = *(0.032) = 2.83*10-3 m2
l = length of coil in metres (m) = 0.40 m
Hence
L = 0.597 H
